Buying a holiday home for your retirement can be a major investment. How many months is the park open each year?
We are open 11 months p.a. - 1st March to the 31st January each year
What documentation will I receive?
You will receive a licence to pitch for a static caravan and a lease for a log cabin
Is Council Tax payable?
No
Are pets allowed?
Certain dogs are not allowed, what we class as dangerous breeds. We do not allow cats.
Are Children allowed on the park?
Children are allowed to visit the park; we are a non-children site. Visiting children should be supervised at all times.
What are the Ground Rent fees?
The Fees are £3060.00 for a static caravan. Please ask for details on log cabins
When do I pay the Ground Rent?
The ground rent is due in advance of each season. The ground rent can be paid in 10 monthly instalments from May each year or you can pay in three part payments 20th Nov, 20th Jan and 1st March. Alternatively you can pay in full each year on the 20th Nov. We often offer a small discount for Ground Rents paid in full.
What is included in the Ground Rent Fees?
The only other charges incurred are for your gas and electric use.
Can a mobile home be passed on in a will?
Yes
Can I get finance to buy a mobile home?
Yes, however we do not arrange finance , you would have to contact your bank or financial advisor.
What guarantees come with a new mobile home?
A new caravan has a 5 year warranty on the structure and a one year warranty on fittings and services.
Are mobile homes low maintenance?
Yes very, apart from washing and waxing the exterior each year and keeping up to the painting of the railings around your patio, you will find the maintenance very easy.
Are the services connected?
Yes we connect all services for you; you will only have a BT Line or Sky to install
How do I insure my mobile home?
We do not arrange insurance, we have to remain unbiased, however we can give you names of insurance companies to call, or you can use your normal insurance broker.
Do I need a Solicitor or Surveyor to buy a Mobile home?
No we issue you with a licence to pitch, however if you purchase a log cabin, this would be done through a solicitor on a lease agreement.
Do you have park rules?
Yes we do have a set of park rules at Moor Valley, a copy of these can be sent to you on request. Please read the park rules carefully before you decide to purchase a Holiday Home.
